Xiaomi had already hinted that it would be launching products in four different categories today – laptop, router, smart speaker and smartphones. Alongside the Redmi K30, the company has launched the RedmiBook 13 series of laptops. The notebook features narrow bezels on all four sides of the display. The RedmiBook 13 series has a total of three different variants.
RedmiBook 13 specifications and features
As said, the RedmiBook 13 comes in three models. All three models are powered by 10th-generation Intel Core processors. The devices, as claimed by the company, would provide up to 11 hours of battery life on a single charge. Furthermore, the RedmiBook 13 series comes with a 1C fast charge support that can charge the device to 50 percent in 35 minutes.
Coming to the display of the device, the RedmiBook 13 laptops feature a 13.3-inch full HD+ display with an impressive 89 percent screen-to-body ratio. What makes the RedmiBook 13 even more interesting is its size. For heavy usage and to avoid throttling, the RedmiBook 13 series comes with a new Hurricane cooling tech which packs in a wing fan and a built-in 6mm diameter double heat pipe. The cooling system is set to increase the maximum heat transfer by 70 percent.
Moving on, the RedmiBook 13 series comes with the company’s in-house mutual transmission feature that provides for a network-less transmission between a laptop and a mobile phone or between a laptop and a laptop. As far as the OS is concerned, the RedmiBook 13 series comes with Microsoft Windows 10 Home edition and has a pre-installed Office Student edition.
RedmiBook 13 price in China
Coming to the prices of the RedmiBook 13 series, the base variant of the device (Core i5 + 8GB RAM + 512GB SSD + MX250) is kept at an asking price of RMB 4,199 (~Rs 42,300). The second variant which has a Core i5 processor, NVIDIA MX250 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 512GB SSD is priced at RMB 4,499 (~Rs 45,000). The top-of-the-line variant with Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA MX250 graphics processor, 8GB RAM, and 512GB SSD is priced at RMB 5,199 (~Rs 51,000).
The device is up for pre-order from today itself in China and will go on sale starting from December 12th.
