- RedmiBook Pro 15 and Pro 14 with AMD processors have been launched in China
- The laptops come with the same specifications as the Intel variants that had debuted in February
- The AMD powered variants are slightly cheaper than the Intel variants
RedmiBook Pro 14 Ryzen Edition and RedmiBook Pro 15 Ryzen Edition launched in China yesterday. They were announced alongside the Redmi Note 10 5G series and Redmi AirDots 3. As the name suggests, the laptops are powered by AMD Ryzen processors.
Earlier this year in February, the RedmiBook Pro 14 and 15 were launched with Intel chipsets. The latest offerings are just AMD-powered variants of the same. Apart from a different SoC, the RedmiBook Pro 14 and 15 Ryzen Edition retain the same specifications as its Intel counterpart.
RedmiBook Pro 15 and Pro 14 Ryzen Edition specifications and features
Both the RedmiBook Pro 15 Ryzen Edition and Pro 14 Ryzen Edition sport a series-6 aviation aluminium metal body. The former features a 15.6-inch screen with 3.2K pixel resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The latter comes with a 14-inch 2.5K display. Both devices offer TUV Rheinland certification, DC Dimming, 100 percent sRGB colour gamut and 300 nits peak brightness.
Internally, the RedmiBook Pro 15 and Pro 14 Ryzen Editions are powered by either AMD Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 processors. There is an integrated Radeon GPU onboard. Both variants pack 16GB DDR4 RAM and offer 512GB SSD storage. The former is backed by a 70WHr battery while the latter runs on a smaller 56WHr unit.
Both laptops come with two USB-C ports, one USB-A port, HDMI port, WiFi 6 and a headphone jack.
RedmiBook Pro 15 and Pro 14 Ryzen Edition pricing and availability
The RedmiBook Pro 15 Ryzen Edition costs RMB 4,799 (~Rs 54,605) for the AMD Ryzen 5 variant while the Ryzen 7 configuration is priced at RMB 5,299 (~Rs 60,294). The same processor configuration of RedmiBook Pro 14 Ryzen Edition carries a price tag of RMB 4,299 (~Rs 48,912) and RMB 4,699 (~Rs 53,471) respectively. Both laptops will be available for purchase in China from June 1st.
