RedmiBook to be powered by 11th-gen Intel chipsets, Flipkart availability confirmed

The RedmiBook series of laptops will be launching on August 3rd in India. It will be the Xiaomi sub-brand’s first laptop to launch in India. A new tweet from Redmi India has revealed the processor configuration of the upcoming laptop. It is also now confirmed that the notebook will be available for purchase through Flipkart.

Ahead of the launch, Xiaomi  been revealing the key features of the RedmiBook daily. So far, it has confirmed the display size, processor, design, and some other features of the notebook. A recent tweet by the company also confirmed that the RedmiBook Pro will be launching in India. The upcoming RedmiBook is expected to go up against the upcoming Realme Book, which happens to be Realme’s first laptop as well.

RedmiBook key features

Redmi has confirmed that the RedmiBook is fitted with a 39.62cm (15.6-inch) display. It is powered by Intel’s 11th generation Tiger Lake processor and will come equipped with SSD storage. It is also confirmed that the notebook will be available in Charcoal Black colour.

Earlier this year, Redmi announced the 11th gen. Intel processor powered RedmiBook Pro 15 in China. It remains to be seen whether the company launches the same device or an entirely new device in India.

RedmiBook Pro 15 specifications and features

The RedmiBook Pro 15 has a 15.6-inch LCD display that offers 3,200 x 2,000 pixels resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. It comes in Core i7 and Core i5 CPU variants, 16GB of DDR4 RAM. 512GGB of PCIe SSD storage, and 70Wh battery that supports 100W charging. It runs Windows 10 Home edition and offers other features like a HD webcam, full-sized backlit keyboard, a fingerprint scanner, and stereo speakers with DTS Audio processing. It offers connectivity features like such as a 1 USB Type-C port, a Thunderbolt 4 port, a USB 2.0 port, a USB 3.2 Gen. 1 port, a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack, and an HDMI slot.
