With work from home becoming the new norm due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for data packs and broadband has increased. Telecom company Reliance has been introducing new tariffs and plans for its Jio customers, as well as free access to some streaming services.
Now as a part of Independence Day, Reliance is offering up to five months of unlimited data and Jio-to-Jio calls with the purchase of JioFi portable wireless hotspot. Once the device is purchased and the Jio SIM is activated, customers will have to choose one of the existing plans for JioFi to avail the offer.
How to avail JioFi Independence Day offer
Users will need to choose between three plans after purchasing the JioFi device and Jio SIM to to avail unlimited on-net voice calls and data for up to 5 months. Apart from paying for one of the prepaid plans, users will also need to purchase a Jio Prime membership for Rs 99.
The cheapest plan costs Rs 199, and offers 1.5GB data per day. With the Jio Prime membership, users will get an additional 1.5GB data per day for 28 days, unlimited Jio-to-Jio calls, 1000 minutes of on-net calls for 28 days, and 100 SMS per day for 140 days.
The second plan costs Rs 249 and comes with 2GB of daily data. The Rs 99 Jio Prime membership provides an additional 2GB data per day, unlimited Jio-to-Jio calls, 1,000 minutes of on-net calls for 28 days, and 100 SMSes for 112 days.
The third plan is priced Rs 349 and provides 3GB of data every day. With the Jio Prime membership, you will get another 3GB data per day, unlimited Jio-to-Jio calls, 1,000 minutes of off-net calls for 28 days, and 100 SMS per day for 84 days.
JioFi pricing and availability
The JioFi carries a price tag of Rs 1,999 and can be purchased from Reliance Digital stores and through the company’s website. Customers can also purchase the device on EMI starting at Rs 94 per month.
