Reliance Jio announced its AirFiber services in August last year. It will provide an end-to-end wireless 5G experience. Jio’s Chairman, Akash Ambani, stated that this fibre service will offer gigabit-speed internet connectivity to customers’ homes or offices. Recently, Kiran Thomas, the President of Reliance Industries, shared an update that Jio AirFiber services will launch in the upcoming months. Here’s everything you need to know about Jio’s AirFiber services.
What is Jio AirFiber?
The Jio AirFiber is a wireless 5G hotspot device that gives you high-speed connectivity at home or office. This plug-and-play device is portable and can connect hundreds of homes and offices to ultra-high-speed broadband without the hassle of setting up a wired Wi-Fi router. In short, it’s an easy way to enjoy fast and reliable internet.
Jio AirFiber Developments
Jio has already completed pilot projects in a few areas to verify the radio frequency planning, installation process, and service stability for the AirFiber services. This indicates that the company is getting ready to announce the launch of its AirFiber services soon. These services are designed to provide capacity, speed, and reliable indoor coverage through differentiated spectrum holding. Jio has also mentioned that its Home Gateway can provide a Wi-Fi range of up to 1000 square feet.
