At present, Reliance Jio doesn’t offer third-party OTT subscriptions with any of its plans, be it for Jio or Jio Fiber users. However, things are about to change it seems as Jio seems to be working on offering bundled OTT subscriptions soon. The official website of the telco has been teasing the arrival of a bundled Disney+ Hotstar VIP annual membership for Jio subscribers.
And now, several Jio Fiber users have apparently received an annual subscription of Amazon Prime, as per forum discussions. However, there’s no official confirmation or announcement from the brand of now. Here’s everything that we know so far about the offer.
Jio Fiber offering free Amazon Prime annual subscription
Several Jio Fiber users have reported that Jio has added an option to avail an annual Amazon Prime membership in the MyJio app. The offer is appearing as a banner on top inside the app. Once you tap on the banner, you will be taken to the next page, where the details of the offer are laid down for the user. You can then activate the subscription from this page.
According to the screenshots shared by users (as seen above), this is only a one-time offer and will provide Amazon Prime membership for one year worth Rs 999. According to the forum, a lot of users have not received the offer on their app, which means the company might be rolling it out to a select few as of now.
There’s no word yet on whether it will be offered to all users in the coming days. Additionally, several users are suggesting that the offer is available only for those opted for 6 month or annual Jio Fiber connections.
