Reliance Jio’s Happy New Year Plan worth Rs 2,020 comes with 12 months of unlimited usage

On: December 24, 2019

As we gear up to welcome a new decade, smartphone brands and telecom operators are coming out with interesting deals and offers for the consumers. One of the largest telecom operators in India, Reliance Jio has announced its Happy New Year Plan ahead of the new year’s day. The plan is priced at Rs 2,020 to welcome the new year and brings a year-round benefits package for the users. The new plan is in-line with Jio’s strategy of offering benefits at a cut-throat price in India and will be beneficial for users who are looking for a long term, unlimited tariff.

Reliance Jio has single-handedly managed to flip the Indian telco industry with its aggressive deals and offers. The latest Happy New Year plan is no exception to the rule. The new Rs 2,020 plans bring unlimited usage for one year and those who don’t want to spend this much on a smartphone plan can opt for the JioPhone bundle. As part of the bundle, users can pay the same Rs 2,020 but get a free JioPhone with the offer. Therefore, the new offer is valid for both smartphone and feature phone users.

Smartphone users will get 1,500 MB data per day and unlimited Jio-to-Jio voice calls as well as SMS for the entire year with this plan. The offer remains the same for feature phone users, however, the free data comes down to 500MB per day. Users will also get a free subscription for all Jio Apps. The fair usage policy will be applicable to both offers for off-net calls to telcos like Airtel, Vodafone Idea and BSNL. The FUP limit is 12,000 minutes, after which the company will charge for calls made to other networks. The telecom operator has not announced the end date for the offer but reports suggest it could end in January first week.

However, Reliance Jio already has an annual plan worth Rs 2,199, which offers the same benefits. In case you miss the New Year Plan, you can spend a little more and get the same benefits with the annual plan.
