Reliance Jio is known for offering cheap prepaid plans to its users which include data, call and SMS benefits. However, the Mukesh Ambani-led telco has removed the most affordable prepaid plan in its dossier worth Rs 98. With this new development, the cheapest plan in Jio’s prepaid line-up is now the Rs 129 plan.
The discontinued Rs 98 plan offered data, unlimited calling and SMS benefits to its users. The popular plan has been removed from the official website, MyJio App as well as third-party recharge platforms. According to reports, the discontinued plan was one of the most popular plans for the telecom operator.
Jio Rs 98 prepaid plan discontinued
The Rs 98 Jio prepaid plan offered a validity of 28 days and as mentioned earlier, was one of the most popular plans from the telecom operator. The pack offered 2GB of data for 28 days, which is enough for those with light data usage. Apart from the data benefits, the plan also offered unlimited Jio to Jio calls and 300 SMSes.
The plan is no longer listed on the official Jio website, My Jio App as well as third party recharge platforms like PayTM, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, and PhonePe, among others.
Jio Rs 129 prepaid plan
The Rs 129 plan which is now the cheapest in Jio’s portfolio also offers a validity of 28 days. The benefits include 2GB data, 300 SMS, unlimited Jio-to-Jio calls, and 1,000 minutes of talktime to other networks. Moreover, once the 2GB data is over, users can continue enjoying unlimited data but at at a reduced speed of 64kbps. With the Rs 129 plan, users also get a complimentary subscription to Jio apps.
