If you have been following our stories lately, you must be knowing that MWC (Mobile World Congress) is around the corner. The most-awaited tech exhibition for mobile computing commences in Spain by the end of this month. A lot of companies have their press conferences scheduled ahead of the main event. We are now able to report that Indian telecom company Reliance Jio and South Korean giant Samsung have a joint press conference to be held at MWC on February 28. To recall, Reliance Jio’s debut in the Indian telecom industry [sort of] brought a new wave across the nation with its disruptive free data and voice calling plans like never before. To remind, Jio’s on-going Happy New Year offer will end on March 31.
According to Samsung, the event is aimed at strengthening relations and engagement with industry veterans and government officials. The event will also witness discussion concerning Reliance Jio’s 4G LTE initiative and the resultant impact on Indians. Samsung will also discuss Jio’s contributions during the event, which according to the company will help attendees understand how Jio has benefitted the country’s growth at both local and international levels. Not to forget, Samsung was also the first smartphone brand to partner Jio in order to bundle its SIM card offering free high-speed LTE data and voice calling in some of the phones.
