Reliance JioBook Geekbench listing reveals key specifications; launch seems imminent

Reliance JioBook has been spotted on Geekbench courtesy of MySmartPrice. The benchmarking platform reveals key specifications of the device. Earlier in March this year, it was reported that the telecom operator was working on a low-cost laptop.

Apart from the Geekbench listing, three variants of JioBook with model numbers NB1118QMW, NB1148QMW, and NB1112MM had also passed BIS certification. The listings suggest that Reliance could soon launch its first laptop in the country.

The Reliance JioBook has appeared on Geekbench with model number NB1112MM. This variant also corroborates with the one listed on the BIS certification website. As per the benchmarking platform, the device will be powered by an octa-core ARM-MT6788 processor clocked at 1.98GHz. The SoC is coupled with 2GB RAM onboard and the listing reveals that the laptop will run on Android 11 OS. The JioBook scores 1,178 points in Geekbench’s single-core tests and 4,246 points in multi-core tests. 

Apart from this, the Geekbench listing doesn’t reveal any key specifications of the JioBook. Reliance is also yet to make an official announcement regarding its first-ever laptop. 

Reliance JioBook specifications and features (expected)

Going by the past reports, one of the JioBook variants will feature a display resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. It is tipped to be powered by a Snapdragon 665 processor with an integrated 4G modem. The upcoming JioBook is expected to come in multiple RAM and storage configurations i.e. 2GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB. 

Apart from the internals, the JioBook is said to feature a mini HDMI connector, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, and 4G LTE. The laptop will ship with pre-installed Jio as well as Microsoft applications.
