- Reliance is reportedly on a JioBook notebook
- The notebook is likely to be priced at Rs 15,000

Reliance JioBook price in India has been tipped. At Reliance’s 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM), which was held in August, the company spoke about its plans to roll out 5G services in India. In one of the presentations, it teased a laptop with a Jio logo in the background. The image gave birth to reports that it could be the upcoming JioBook notebook.
Now, a new report by Reuters has revealed not only the expected price of the JioBook but also some of its key features. It will be an affordable product and serve as an alternate to tablets for out-of-the-office corporate employees.
JioBook price in India
According to the publication, the JioBook will be priced at Rs 15,000 and will arrive with support for 4G connectivity. By releasing the JioBook, the company aims to replicate the success of the affordably priced JioPhone in India.
Reliance Jio is working with Qualcomm as well as Microsoft for its first JioBook. The former will provide ARM-based computing chips, while the latter will add support for some apps. The notebook will run on JioOS and will provide access to apps through the JioStore.
Starting this month, the JioBook will be aimed at enterprise customers like schools and government institutes. The laptop will get a consumer launch in the next three months. This suggests that the JioBook will be released this year.
The JioPhone has been India’s top-selling phone in its price range. The company expects to replicate the same success with the JioBook, which will be locally manufactured by Flex. The Mukesh Ambani-led firm targets selling “hundreds and thousands” of JioBook units by March 2023.
