Every JioFi device comes with a JioFi number, which is the number of the 4G SIM installed in the device for connecting to the high-speed data. Needless to say, if you lose the JioFi number, you won’t be able to recharge your JioFi device with Jio 4G data packs. Therefore, we have listed two simple ways to find out your JioFi number if you ever happen to lose it.

Through the My Jio app

The most simple way to find out your JioFi number is by using the My Jio app on your smartphone. Simply follow the steps below:

  1. Download the My Jio app on your smartphone from the Play Store or App Store
  2. Login with your Jio ID and password

Once you have logged into the app, you will be able to see your JioFi number on the top.

Through SMS

If you don’t have access to a smartphone, you can also find out your JioFi number by sending an SMS. These are the steps required:

  1. Open the Messages app on your phone
  2. If using a Jio number, type your JioFi device IMEI number in the body and send an SMS to 199
  3. If using a non-Jio number, type your JioFi device IMEI number in the body and send an SMS to 7021799999

In case you are wondering how to know find out the IMEI number of your JioFi device, there are two ways of knowing it. The IMEI number is mentioned on the packaging of the JioFi device. In case you have thrown away the package, you can open the battery compartment and remove the battery to reveal the IMEI sticker.
