These portable devices allow users to create a personal Wi-Fi hotspots to connect multiple devices to the internet. The JioFi devices allow a user to connect up to 10 devices wirelessly and one through a USB connection.
Every JioFi device comes with a JioFi number, which is the number of the 4G SIM installed in the device for connecting to the high-speed data. Needless to say, if you lose the JioFi number, you won’t be able to recharge your JioFi device with Jio 4G data packs. The most simple way to find out your JioFi number is by using the My Jio app on your smartphone. Simply follow the steps below:
- Download the My Jio app on your smartphone from the Play Store or App Store
- Login with your Jio ID and password
Once you have logged into the app, you will be able to see your JioFi number on the top.
If you don’t have access to a smartphone, you can also find out your JioFi number by sending an SMS. These are the steps required:
- Open the Messages app on your phone
- If using a Jio number, type your JioFi device IMEI number in the body and send an SMS to 199
- If using a non-Jio number, type your JioFi device IMEI number in the body and send an SMS to 7021799999
