LYF, a subsidiary of Reliance Retail has added a new device in its budget Android lineup dubbed the LYF F8. It is basically a brand which is known for launching affordable 4G VoLTE-enabled phones in India. Ever since Reliance Jio came up with its disruptive offers in the country to offer free data and voice calling, a requirement for 4G VoLTE phones has been on the rise. It has been few weeks since the Indian handset maker unveiled the LYF 1 in India which is currently priced at Rs 12,999.
Talking about the technical specifications, the LYF F8 sports a 4.5-inch IPS LCD screen featuring 854 x 480 pixels FWVGA resolution and 218 PPI (pixels per inch) pixel density. What powers this latest LYF phone is a quad-core (four cores) Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor clocked at 1.3GHz accompanied by 1GB of RAM. There is also an Adreno 304 GPU for videos and graphics processing.
As far as the storage capacity is concerned, there is a very limited 8GB storage offered inside which may not be sufficient enough to store pictures, songs, or applications in big numbers. But thankfully, the storage capacity can be expanded further up to 128GB with the help of a microSD card. Under the hood, the LYF F8 houses an 8-megapixel primary camera on the back with a LED flash. It also has a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
Beside 4G VoLTE, the LYF F8 also comes with all other standard connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack. This is a Dual-SIM handset which runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The LYF F8 comes in Blue and Black colour option and is available across the company’s retail stores for Rs 4,199.
