First unveiled at MWC 2017, the Xperia XZ Premium is Sony’s latest flagship device. Now, the latest report claims the device will hit the European market on 1st June. According to the reports, Sony has partnered with a major carrier in Germany to bring the device to customers. The pricing, however, is not released yet.
To recall, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium features the company’s new Motion Eye camera system and a memory stacked Exmor RS sensor. It sports a 19-megapixel primary camera with Super slo-mo video capture @ 960fps. Up front, it houses a 13-megapixel snapper with 22mm wide-angle lens for video calling and selfies.
The Xperia XZ Premium is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset which also powers the latest flagship device Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Assisting the processor, the phone gets 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage further expandable via MicroSD card. It sports a 5.5-inch 4K HDR (3840 x 2160 pixels) Triluminos display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The device measures 156 x 77 x 7.9 mm, weighs 195 g, and packs a 3230mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 support.
For connectivity, the phone gets options such as 4G LTE, NFC, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi (dual-band), and GPS. It comes in two colour options – Deepsea Black and Luminous Chrome. Recently, the phone was also up for pre-order on Amazon UK website carrying a price tag of 649 British Pounds.
