Route Mobile’s Instant Virtual Number service can safeguard your privacy

On: July 29, 2019

Mumbai-based cloud communications service provider Route Mobile Limited has launched an Instant Virtual Number (IVN) service.  For those unaware, IVN is a virtual number that is configured virtually on the top of your existing primary mobile number. It enables the subscriber to have two numbers – their regular phone number (primary) and a temporary virtual number (secondary) which is the IVN.

If you take privacy seriously and do not want to share your primary number with everyone, the temporary virtual number can offer you a way to maintain privacy. IVN ensures safety while letting the consumer control their privacy. IVN is beneficial for users who do not want to expose their primary number to non-reliable parties like taxi services, loyalty programs, as well as consumer outlets like apparel brands and restaurants. People who want to publish an advertisement in a newspaper or online can also make use of IVN. It can also be used for business purposes such as a separate number for instant messaging apps like WhatsApp.

Mr. Rajdipkumar Gupta, MD and CEO of Route Mobiles said, “Customers/subscriber privacy/confidentiality is of utmost importance to operator networks, yet one of the key concerns raised by their customers. Route Mobile’s Instant Virtual Numbers intends to solve this problem in terms of privacy. An IVN serves consumers with an option to have additional numbers on their existing sim card. Although they would have an additional number which would act as an instant virtual number, it would work exactly the same as that of their primary number. Route Mobile brings you this solution which is aimed at benefiting personal privacy.”

IVN service works on a monthly subscription fee, so users can contact their operator and ask for the best rates. There is effortless switching between the primary and virtual number. One can schedule the use of the virtual number during a set time period. A user can also request the operator to change the virtual number and resign the last used virtual number within a set time of period. The calls and SMS charges are the same as a normal number of usages in the subscription package. The amount is deducted or charged to the primary number. The usage and availability of virtual phone numbers are subject to the regulations of the country and the telephone service provider.
