Rumour: Moto G5 Plus To Be Launched In India In March For Rs 14,999

The Moto G5 Plus have been in the rumour mill for past couple of weeks now. Motorola has already started giving out the media invites for its event at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2017 scheduled on 26th February. Earlier rumours claimed that the company is planning to unveil its G5 Series at the event.

Now, a recent leak claims reveal the pricing and availability of the Moto G5 Plus. As per the leak, the Moto G5 Plus will come with a price tag of $300 for global market whereas, in India, it will come with a more affordable pricing of Rs 14,999 ($230). The device is expected to arrive in India in mid-March.

The Moto G5 Plus is supposed to replace its predecessor Moto G4 and G4 Plus. According to the leaked specs, it will sport a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection on top and a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor, giving a fierce competition to Lenovo P2 which is also equipped with the same chipset.

The Moto G5 Plus is believed to sport a 4GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable with a MicroSD card. On the camera front, it will feature a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus). On the front, it is said to flaunt a 5-megapixel snapper for capturing selfies. The device will come with Android 7.0 Nougat pre-installed and will pack in a 3050mAh battery. It is also rumoured to be available in three different colour options – Black, Silver and Gold.
