Samsung has announced a new lineup of split ACs in India, spanning over 40 models across various price segments and series. The ranges include Wind-Free 2.0, Triple Inverter, Eco Inverter and On/Off. The ACs are available in various star rating and tonnage options to suit different needs and budgets. Samsung has also equipped several of these ACs with copper condensers, which offer more durability, easier maintenance and better heat transfers compared to their aluminium counterparts. Speaking on the launch, Rajeev Bhutani, Senior Vice President, HVAC division, Consumer Electronics Business, Samsung India, said “Samsung is a consumer-centric company. We believe in meaningful innovations that transform lives. Our research showed that durability, affordability and energy efficiency are the primary concerns of AC consumers in India. With our new range, we have ensured all those expectations are met. In addition, consumers also get Samsung’s best-in-class technology and the most trusted brand.

Samsung Wind-Free 2.0 series specifications and features

Starting with the Wind-Free 2.0 series, as per Samsung, the ACs use “23,000 micro-holes” to evenly distribute air across the room, maintaining a comfortable level of temperature without a draught. One the AC reaches the desired temperature, it continues to disperse fresh air. The Wind-Free ACs also feature a new rectangular design compared to the previous triangle design.

Additionally, the ACs are Wi-Fi-enabled, and can be controlled remotely using the Smart Home app. They also feature motion detection sensors, which put the AC into an energy saving mode if it does not detect human presence for 60 minutes.

The Wind-Free 2.0 ACs come with digital inverters, which maintain the set temperature without turning off and on frequently, contributing to energy savings. They also come with an energy savings mode. Additionally, they feature an ‘Easy Filter’ which traps dust, contaminants, allergens, bacteria and viruses. The ACs feature the eco-friendly R32 refrigerant and come with a 10-year warranty on the compressor.

Samsung Triple Inverter ACs specifications and features

The biggest highlight of Samsung’s Triple Inverter ACs is the convertible mode, which lets you convert a 2 ton to 1.5 ton, 1.5 ton to 1 ton and 1 ton to 0.8 ton. This mode also makes less use of the compressor, leading to lower power usage.

The range also comes with 5-star models, both in 1 ton and 1.5 ton options. Copper condensor models are also available, in a 3-star 1.5 ton configuration. Additionally, Samsung has introduced a Paradise Bloom floral variant, which will be available in 3-star 1 ton and 3-star 1.5 ton models.

Samsung Eco Inverter specifications and features

Samsung’s Eco Inverter series include some affordable options. All the ACs come with copper condensers and digital inverters. They feature four different strip designs, hidden backlit displays and crystal designs. They feature turbo cooling, anti dust filters and bacteria filters. They offer a 10-year warranty on the digital inverter compressor.
