Samsung India has confirmed it will announce a new A-series phone at 12 pm on January 18th, 2023. A microsite for the upcoming A-series phone is now live on Samsung India’s website. The webpage suggests that it will be a 5G-enabled phone. According to a recent report by IANS, the Galaxy A14 5G and Galaxy A23 5G are likely to break cover by mid-January in India. Hence, it appears that these devices may launch on January 18th.
While the Galaxy A23 5G appears to be an existing available in the global market, the Galaxy A14 5G has already launched in the global market. A promotional material leaked by PhoneEV reveals that the Galaxy A14 5G heading to India will be the same as its international version, albeit with one major difference.

The leaked promo material has revealed that the Galaxy A14 5G will arrive with a 6.6-inch PLS LCD display with a waterdrop notch. It will offer a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The A14 5G heading to the US has the Exynos 1330 chip onboard, whereas its Indian edition is likely to feature the Dimensity 700 chipset.
The SoC will be coupled with 4GB / 6GB of RAM, RAM Plus (virtual RAM), and 64GB / 128GB of storage. For additional storage, it will have a microSD card slot. The device will house a 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging via a USB Type-C port.
The Galaxy A14 5G will feature a 13-megapixel selfie camera. Its back panel will have a 50-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-meagpixel depth sensor. The promo material also reveals that it will arrive in multiple colours, such as Light Green, Dark Red, Black, and Silver. The device is said to measure 167.7 x 78 x 9.1mm and weigh around 201 to 205 grams.
At present, there is no concrete information on the specifications of the Galaxy A23 5G. Some reports have claimed that it could be equipped with the Snapdragon 695 chipset and a 50-megapixel primary camera. Both devices are likely to cost under Rs 15,000.
