Samsung Galaxy A01 with dual rear cameras and 128GB of storage quietly goes official

Samsung has been focussing on its A-series smartphones lately. Last week, the company launched the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 handsets. Now, the South Korean tech giant has quietly unveiled yet another Galaxy A series phone called the Samsung Galaxy A01. The latest Galaxy A series offering has arrived as a budget device that offers dual primary cameras at the rear. The Galaxy A01 features a waterdrop notch above the screen to house the selfie camera, minimal bezels on the sides, and a tad thick chin. Unfortunately, the smartphone doesn’t offer a fingerprint sensor for security purposes.

Samsung Galaxy A01 specifications and features

The Galaxy A01 features a 5.7-inch Infinity-V display bearing HD+ resolution. At the rear, the handset has a 13MP main camera with an aperture of f/2.2. The primary camera is aided by a 2MP depth sensor that has an aperture of f/2.4. A 5MP lens with f/2.0 aperture is fitted on the front for selfies and video calling purposes. Under the hood, the phone has an octa-core processor of unknown make. Configuration-wise, the smartphone comes in 6GB and 8GB RAM models, which both have 128GB of native storage, and they support microSD cards up to 512GB in size. The connectivity features of the device include 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5mm headphone socket, and A-GPS with GLONASS. A 3,000mAh battery keeps the whole package running.

Samsung hasn’t revealed the pricing and availability of the Galaxy A01 at the moment. However, you can expect it to be one of the most affordable Galaxy A series smartphones from the brand.
