Samsung Galaxy A03 has been launched. It replaces the Galaxy A02 that debuted in November 2020. It is positioned between the Galaxy A03s, which debuted in India back in August this year, and the recently unveiled Galaxy A03 Core.
As compared to the predecessor model, the Galaxy A03 comes with a major improvement in the camera department. The newly unveiled entry-level Samsung phone is blessed with a 48-megapixel dual-camera system. It comes with an HD+ display with a tall aspect ratio and it is backed by a big battery. In addition, the handset sports a renewed rear camera design with a fibre-like finish for the back panel.
Samsung Galaxy A03 specifications and features
The Galaxy A03 has a 6.5-inch display with an Infinity-V notch design. It offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display notch houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
The square-shaped camera module placed on the back panel of the A03 has a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The device seems to be running on Android 11 and Samsung’s One UI skin.
Samsung has not revealed the name of the processor that powers the Galaxy A03. It only mentioned that it features an octa-core chip with two 1.6GHz CPU cores and six 1.6GHz CPU cores. Past reports have claimed that it is powered by the Unisoc SC9863A, which also fuels the Galaxy A03 Core.
The Galaxy A03 will come with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery. However, there is no word on the charging capabilities of the device. Lastly, it carries support for Dolby Atmos. The images of the phone that it does not feature a fingerprint scanner.
Samsung Galaxy A03 pricing and availability
The Galaxy A03 comes in multiple variants such as 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. The South Korean company is yet to reveal the pricing and availability of the device. When available, it will come in three colours such as black, blue, and red. The colour and memory variants will vary depending on the market.
