Highlights

  • Samsung Galaxy A04 in an entry-level smartphone
  • It runs Android 12 out of the box
  • Key features include a 5,000mAh battery and a 6.5-inch HD+ display

Hot on the heels of the launch of the Galaxy Flip 4 and Galaxy Fold 4, Samsung has silently unveiled the Galaxy A04. The successor to last year’s Galaxy A03 is an entry-level smartphone with an octa-core processor and a 50MP rear camera. Other highlights include an HD+ display, a hefty 5,000mAh battery, and up to 8GB of RAM.

The design of the Galaxy A04 is similar to past budget Samsung A series smartphones such as the A03 with a simple polycarbonate back and a dual camera setup. The smartphone has a V-shaped notch and fairly sizable bezels, which is acceptable at this price point. The Samsung Galaxy A04 has been the subject of extensive leaks. We at Pricebaba spotted the phone on India’s BIS certification website last month and earlier this week got our hands on the transparent cases of Galaxy A04 Ahead of The Launch

Samsung is yet to announce pricing and availability details officially. The specifications and the pricing of past A-series entry-level smartphones point towards a price tag around the Rs 11,000 mark.

The Galaxy A04 is powered by an octa-core processor, which could be Samsung’s entry-level Exynos 850 chipset. The budget smartphone features a 6.55-inch HD+ LCD display, 4GB/ 6GB/ 8GB of RAM, and 32GB/ 64GB/ 128GB of internal storage with support for storage expansion via a microSD card. Furthermore, the Galaxy A04 has a sizable 5,000mAh battery with a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. Unlike most high-end phones of today, the smartphone also offers a 3.5mm headphone jack. It runs Android 12-based One UI Core 4.1 out of the box, and with Samsung’s excellent track record with updates, it should get Android 13 and Android 14 in the future.
