Samsung has announced the Galaxy A05 smartphone in India. The A05, a successor to last year’s Galaxy A04, is an entry-level smartphone featuring a waterdrop-notch display on the front and a dual-camera setup on the back. Some of the major highlights of the A05 include a massive 6.7-inch display, a 50-megapixel primary camera, a big battery with fast charging support, and an affordable starting price.

The Galaxy A05 has a 6.7-inch IPS LCD panel that offers an HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The device lacks a fingerprint scanner but comes with support for AI face unlock.
On the front, the Galaxy A05 has an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Its rear panel features a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth-assist lens. It comes preloaded with OneUI Core-based Android 13. The company has confirmed that the A05 will receive two generations of OS upgrades and four years of security updates.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A05 has the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, 4GB / 6GB of RAM, 64GB / 128 of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. The device offers other features, such as dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Samsung Galaxy A05 has arrived in two variants in India. The base model, offering 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, is priced at Rs 9,999 (~$120). On the other hand, the higher variant, offering 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, is priced at Rs 12,999 (~$155). The phone comes in three shades, such as Black, Silver, and Light Green. It is available for purchase via Samsung.com, leading online retailer sites, Samsung exclusive stores, and retail outlets.
For a limited time, buyers can avail of the Galaxy A05 through no-cost EMI via Samsung Finance+ and attractive monthly EMI options starting at Rs 875 (~$10) with banks and NBFCs. Furthermore, SBI credit card holders can enjoy a time-limited cashback of Rs 1,000 (~$12).
