Samsung has launched the Galaxy A12 smartphone in India. It is the first A-series smartphone to launch in the country this year. The Galaxy A12 sports a waterdrop notch screen and a sleek body with an attractive matte finish.

In terms of specifications, the Galaxy A12 offers a 20:9 aspect ratio supporting screen, a massive battery with fast charging capabilities, and up to 128GB of native storage. The square-shaped camera of the A12 features a 48-megapixel quad-camera system.

The Samsung Galaxy A12 has a 6.5-inch PLS IPS with an Infinity-V notch design. It produces an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels. The device is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The MediaTek Helio P35 chipset powers the Galaxy A12 with 4GB of RAM. The phone comes in two storage options such as 64GB and 128GB. For more storage, the device features a microSD card slot. It runs on One UI 2.5 based Android 10 OS.

The quad-camera system of the Galaxy A12 has a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel superwide sensor with a 123-degree FOV, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens. For snapping selfies, the handset is fitted with an 8-megapixel front camera.

The Galaxy A12 promises long-lasting battery life as it has a 5,000mAh battery. It carries support for 15W fast charging. The A12 is packed with usual connectivity features such as dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Samsung Galaxy A12’s base model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage is priced at Rs 12,999. Its higher variant with 4GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage costs Rs 13,999. Samsung India’s online store and leading online retailer platforms will begin with its sales starting from February 17th.

New and existing Jio customers who purchase the Galaxy A12 can take advantage of benefits worth Rs 7,000, which includes vouchers worth Rs 4,000 from partners and Rs 3,000 instant cashback on recharge of the Rs 349 plan. Customers on Vi who purchase the smartphone will get double data benefits on Rs 299 recharge for three months or three recharges.
