Samsung Galaxy A30 gets Android 10 update in India

Recently, Samsung updated its Galaxy M series of smartphones called the Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30 to Android 10. Now, the South Korean tech giant has released the Android 10 update for the Galaxy A30 handset in India. The latest update brings the cleaner easy-to-use One UI user interface, apart from a handful of new features. The Samsung Galaxy A30’s update comes with visually more comfortable user experience, an enhanced Dark Mode, focus mode, and an intuitive Device Care menu. The update is being rolled out gradually, so not all the devices will get it right away.

As per the changelog, the One UI 2 Core 2 upgrade with the Android 10 update brings new features from Samsung and Google. The update brings Dark Mode for enhanced photos, text, and colour adjustments for day and night environments. The update is provided with darkened wallpapers, widgets, and alarms, even when the Dark Mode is switched on. In the new update, you will find clearer app icons, system colours, and improved layouts for titles and buttons to decrease the wasted screen space.

Talking about the other changes, the Android 10 update for the Galaxy M30 brings new navigation gestures, new one-handed mode with settings moved to Advanced features > one-handed mode, a new device care mode to provide more detailed information, Digital Wellbeing, and a Trash feature for Contacts that will stay in the same for 15 days before being deleted forever.

The Samsung Galaxy A30 was launched in India in March last year for Rs 16,990. The phone is now available in the country on Amazon India for Rs 12,490. The device is a budget offering with a waterdrop notch above the screen. The handset has almost non-existent bezels on top and sides, and a slim chin. There’s also a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device. A dual primary camera setup is present at the rear of the smartphone.
