Samsung had announced the Galaxy A31 in March this year, but the pricing and availability were not announced at the time. Now, the South Korean brand has confirmed it is launching the smartphone in India on June 4th. Samsung’s 2020 Galaxy A-lineup already consists of the Galaxy A51, A71, A11, A41, A21 and A31.
Out of these, only the Galaxy A51 and A71 have debuted in India. The upcoming Galaxy A31 will be the company’s third smartphone in the A-series to launch in the country. It will arrive as the successor to last year’s Galaxy A30 with upgraded specifications. Samsung has put up a microsite where users can receive updates on the upcoming Galaxy A31.

The Galaxy A31 will retain the Galaxy A30’s display, featuring a 6.4-inch Infinity-U screen with AMOLED panel and FHD+ resolution. The device will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The smartphone will be available in Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush Blue, Prism Crush Red, and Prism Crush White colour options. It will sport a rectangular quad-camera setup on the rear compared to dual cameras on the A30. The camera module comprises of a 48MP main sensor, 8MP wide-angle lens, 5MP depth and 5MP macro shooter. The device features a 20MP front snapper for selfies.
Internally, the Galaxy A31 is powered by MediaTek Helio P65 SoC paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The smartphone runs Android 10 with OneUI 2.0 skinned on the top. The Galaxy A31 draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging.

As for pricing, the Galaxy A31 is expected to cost slightly more than the Galaxy A30. We will know more details at the launch event.
