Samsung Galaxy A34 5G has appeared on Geekbench with a new Dimensity chip. The variant that has appeared on the benchmarking is headed towards South Korea. Hence, it is unclear whether the same chipset variant will be heading to other markets, including India.
The Galaxy A34 5G has bagged several important certifications. Recently, the A34, as well as the Galaxy A54 5G, were seen at the Bluetooth SIG. Hence, it is speculated that both models may break cover as early as January in different markets. The Geekbench appearance of the device is a good hint that the company could be internally testing its performance before the official announcement.

The Galaxy A34 5G, heading to global markets, including India, has the SM-A346B model number. It’s South Korean variant, which has the SM-A346N model number, has appeared on Geekbench with a MediaTek chip that has the MT66877V/TTZA model number. The CPU and GPU data that appeared in the listing clearly confirm that it is powered by the Dimensity 1080 chipset.
The listing further states that the device is equipped with 6GB of RAM and Android 13 OS. In the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench, the device scored 778 and 2232 points, respectively.

Past reports have revealed the Galaxy A34 specifications in bits and pieces. The CAD renders of the device that appeared in November revealed that it has a waterdrop notch display and a triple camera unit on the back. It is expected to support a Full HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. There are some reports that most markets may receive the Exynos 1380 chipset variant of the Galaxy A34 5G. It may arrive with support for 25W fast charging. The rest of its specifications are yet to be revealed.
