After the launch of the Galaxy A10, A30 and A50 in India last month, Samsung is quickly expanding its Galaxy A portfolio of smartphones. The Galaxy A20 just went official in Russia yesterday and now the company has announced the Galaxy A40 in the Netherlands. As the name indicates, the A40 sits between the Galaxy A30 and A50. Let’s take a look at what the device offers out of the box.
Samsung Galaxy A40 Specifications
The Galaxy A40 features a 5.9-inch Infinity-U display with Super AMOLED panel bearing a full HD+ resolution. The back of the phone houses a fingerprint sensor and a dual-camera setup. The device ships in four colours of Black, Blue, Coral, and White.
For imaging, the Samsung Galaxy A40 sports a 16MP rear camera coupled with a 5MP ultra-wide angle lens. The shooter is capable of recording 4K videos. On the front, the phone is fitted with a 25MP selfie snapper.
The A40 comes equipped with an Exynos 7885 chipset. It’s coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. The storage is expandable up to 512GB via microSD cards. The handset is powered by a 3,100mAh battery unit. It ships with Android 9 Pie with Samsung’s OneUI on the top.
Samsung Galaxy A40 Pricing & Availability
The Galaxy A40’s price has been set at €240 (~Rs 19,500). Dutch e-tailer Belsimpel has started taking preorders for the handset. The smartphone is scheduled to launch officially on April 10th. However, there’s no word on the pricing and availability details of the Samsung Galaxy A40 in India yet.
