Samsung Galaxy A50 6GB RAM variant gets limited period price drop, now available for Rs 16,990

Just a couple of days ago, Samsung quietly dropped the price of the Galaxy A50s smartphone in India by up to Rs 2,500. The phone’s base variant with 4GB of RAM is now priced at Rs 17,499 and the 6GB RAM model now costs Rs 19,999. Now, the South Korean tech giant has reduced the price of the Galaxy A50 as well, but this one has received a limited period price cut. The Galaxy A50 6GB RAM variant’s price has been dropped by Rs 4,500. The phone now costs Rs 16,990, down from the earlier price of Rs 21,490. The company hasn’t reduced the price of the 4GB RAM variant during the new scheme. The device is available at the reduced pricing across channels from February 9th to February 21st.

To recap the specs, the Samsung Galaxy A50 is a mid-range offering with a waterdrop notch above the screen, minimal bezels on all the sides, a triple primary camera module on the back, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone has a 6.4-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display, and boots Android 9 Pie with One UI on top. Under the hood, the handset has a 2.3GHz octa-core Exynos 9610 processor, which is aided by up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

In the camera department, the Samsung Galaxy A50 has a 24MP low-light camera, which is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a 5MP Live Focus snapper. For selfies and video calling, the Galaxy A50 has a 25MP camera on the front with an aperture of f/2.0. In terms of connectivity, the device has 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and A-GPS with GLONASS. A 4,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support completes the list of the specifications of the smartphone. The handset can be purchased in three colour options, including Black, Blue, and White.
