Samsung launched its mid-range A-series smartphone called the Galaxy A51 in India in January. The smartphone was announced in two configurations, 6GB and 8GB RAM, both with 128GB storage. While the base variant has already been selling in India for Rs 23,999, the top-end model was not released, until now.
The South Korean brand has now gone ahead and launched the Samsung Galaxy A51 8GB variant in the country, and apart from the higher RAM, it shares all specifications with the base variant. The A51 features a high screen to body ratio, minimal bezels around the screen, a punch-hole to house the selfie camera, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Notably, the smartphone is one of the most affordable phones from Samsung to feature quad rear cameras.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 has a plastic unibody design with a reflective back panel and a prism-like pattern. The fascia of the handset is home to a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display. The screen features a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 on top. Ticking at the core of the phone is a 2.3GHz Exynos 9611 octa-core processor, along with 8GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.
In the optics department, the Galaxy A51 features a 48MP primary camera with an aperture of f/2.0. The primary camera is accompanied by a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide shooter, a 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor, and a 5MP f/2.4 macro lens. The front panel houses a 32MP camera with an aperture of f/2.2.
The Samsung Galaxy A51 boots Android 10 out of the box with One UI on top, and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.

The 8GB + 128GB variant of Galaxy A51 will be available across retail channels – offline retail stores, leading e-commerce portals and Samsung’s website. The smartphone will retail at Rs 27,999.
