Samsung Galaxy A51 receiving Android 11 update with One UI 3.0 in India

Samsung had debuted the Galaxy A51 smartphone in January last year. It shipped with Android 10 out of the box. The South Korean brand had shared the release timeline of the OneUI 3.0 update based on the latest Android 11 for the Egyptian market last December.

Now Samsung is rolling out Android 11 based OneUI 3.0 update for the Galaxy A51 users in India. The update is being released over-the-air and may take some time before it reaches your device.

OneUI 3.0 based on Android 11 is now hitting Galaxy A51 devices in India

The latest software update comes with a firmware version A515FXXU4DUB1. It also includes the February 2021 security patch. Users can check if the update is available for their device by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install 

Samsung had promised three versions of Android updates for the Galaxy A51, so it will also likely receive Android 12 and Android 13 update in the future. 

OneUI 3.0 based on Android 11 introduces some new features and performance improvements. It brings a refreshed design and a redesigned lock screen widget with access to basic functions and information like music control playback, calendar events.

Users can make the wallpaper more visible by reducing the opacity of the widgets on the home screen. The OneUI 3.0 update version rearranges shortcuts of the features that are used frequently. It also comes with personal and work profiles. 

Samsung Galaxy A51 specifications, price in India

The Samsung Galaxy A51 features a 6.5-inch FHD+ sAMOLED display. It is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner and a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout that houses a 32MP selfie snapper. The smartphone sports a rectangular quad-camera setup comprising a 48MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 5MP depth sensor and 5MP macro shooter. 

The Galaxy A51 is powered by an Exynos 9611 processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The device is backed by a 4,000mAh battery unit with support for 15W fast charging. 

The Samsung Galaxy A51 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs 20,999 while the higher-end 8GB + 128GB model retails at Rs 22,499.
