Samsung Galaxy A51 India launch seems imminent; official support page goes live

Last week, Samsung introduced its latest Galaxy A series smartphones called the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 in Vietnam. Now, the South Korean tech giant seems to be planning to release the Galaxy A51 in the Indian market. Ahead of the official announcement, the support page for the Samsung Galaxy A51 has appeared on the company’s website in India, which hints at its imminent launch in the country. The device will arrive as a mid-range offering with a nearly bezel-less display, a punch-hole in the screen for the selfie shooter, a quad-camera setup at the rear and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

To recap the specs and features, the Samsung Galaxy A51 offers an appealing Prism pattern on the back. The phone offers a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O screen bearing full HD+ resolution. Under the hood, the device has an unknown processor with a clock speed of 2.3GHz. The handset has up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of native storage, which can be further increased up to 1TB by inserting a microSD card. Software-wise, the Galaxy A51 boots Android 10 out of the box with the brand’s One UI 2.0 custom interface on top.

Talking about the cameras, the Samsung Galaxy A51 offers a 48MP primary camera at the rear with f/2.0 aperture. The main sensor is aided by a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor featuring f/2.2 aperture, a 5MP f/2.4 macro shooter, and a 5MP f/2.2 lens for depth-sensing capabilities. For selfies and video-calling purposes, the device has a 32MP snapper with an aperture of f/2.2. In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy A51 offers 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and A-GPS with GLONASS. A 4,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support completes the list of the specifications.

Samsung Galaxy A51 price in India

As of now, there’s no word regarding the price of the Samsung Galaxy A51 in India. In Vietnam, the smartphone is being offered at the starting price of around Rs 24,500. The handset comes in four colour variants – Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush Blue, Prism Crush White, and Prism Crush Pink. We expect the Galaxy A51 to be released in India at some point later this month.
