Samsung to launch new Galaxy A series phone next week, could be Galaxy A51

Recent reports have revealed several details regarding the next set of Galaxy A-series phones. It was speculated that the Samsung may launch the new Galaxy A smartphones starting from next year. However, a new video teaser released by Samsung Vietnam reveals that a new Galaxy A phone will be introduced on December 12th. It does not reveal the name of the device that will be unveiled, however, the presence of a centred punch-hole camera suggests that the company may announce the Galaxy A51 phone on the said date.

Last month, PriceBaba had teamed up with popular tipster @OnLeaks to reveal the design of the Galaxy A51. The CAD renders revealed that the Galaxy A51’s display resembles the Galaxy Note 10, with a small cutout for the selfie camera at the top-centre position on the screen. The device will also be equipped with a rectangular camera module at the back that houses as many as four cameras.

The Galaxy A51 will be arriving as the successor of the Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A50s that were made official earlier this year. Apart from Vietnam, the Galaxy A51 will be also heading to other markets. India will be one of the markets to receive the device, which reportedly entered production in the country in October. There is no official word on the launch date of the Galaxy A51 for India. The above shown teaser video has no information on the specs of the Galaxy A51. However, the rumour mill has spilled plenty of information on the device.

Samsung Galaxy A51 Specifications

The Galaxy A51 may come with a 6.5-inch Infinity-O AMOLED display that offers full HD+ resolution. Like previous models, it will also feature an in-screen fingerprint reader. For shooting selfies, it may feature a 32-megapixel front camera. The quad camera system on its rear is expected to include a 48-megapixel main sensor and a 5-megapixel macro lens. One UI 2.0 based Android 10 OS will come preloaded on the device.

The Exynos 9611 chipset is expected to power the Galaxy A51 with 4GB of RAM. It may arrive in two storage choices of 64GB and 128GB. The device could be backed by a 4,000mAh battery that may carry support for 15W fast charging.

The rumoured Galaxy A71 phone is also expected to come with the same display design. Hence, it is advisable to wait for further reports to know which Galaxy A phone will be unveiled next week.
