Samsung Galaxy A51 with quad cameras launched in India for Rs 23,999

Recently, Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Galaxy S10 Lite flagship smartphones in India. Today, the South Korean tech giant has expanded its range of Galaxy A series handsets in the country. Called the Samsung Galaxy A51, the latest in the A series has arrived as a mid-range offering with a high screen to body ratio, minimal bezels around the screen, a punch-hole to house the selfie camera, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Notably, The Galaxy A51 is one of the most affordable phones from the company to flaunt a quad primary camera setup on the back.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 was originally launched in Vietnam in December last year. The phone features a plastic unibody design with a reflective back panel and a Prism-like pattern. The handset is equipped with a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 on top. Under the hood, the device packs in a 2.3GHz Exynos 9611 octa-core processor. The handset comes in two RAM variants, 6GB and 8GB, both with 128GB of storage expandable up to 512GB via microSD.

In the camera department, the Samsung Galaxy A51 boasts of a 48MP primary camera with an aperture of f/2.0. The main sensor is aided by a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor, and a 5MP f/2.4 lens for macro photography. For selfies and video calling, there’s a 32MP camera with an aperture of f/2.2, which is placed inside the hole in the middle of the screen. The device is capable of recording 2,160p videos at 30fps and 1,080p videos at up to 120fps. Software-wise, the device boots Android 10 out of the box with One UI on top. Lastly, a 4,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support completes the list of the specifications.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 has been priced at Rs 23,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant. Pricing for the higher-end 8GB + 128GB option hasn’t been announced yet. The phone comes in Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White and Prism Crush Blue colour variants, and will be available in the country starting from January 31st. The device will be up for grabs across offline retail stores, Samsung Opera House, Samsung e-shop and leading online stores. A one-time screen replacement offer and up to 5 percent cashback via Amazon Pay are part of the launch offers.
