Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A series smartphone, the Galaxy A51 has been the subject of a number of headlines lately. The phone is expected to arrive as a slightly upgraded variant of the Galaxy A50s. The company has reportedly already started the production of the smartphone at its manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, India. Recently, we brought you an exclusive first look at the Galaxy A51 in the form of high-resolution 5K renders and a 360-degree video. Now, the Samsung Galaxy A51 has been certified by the regulatory authority Wi-Fi Alliance, which has revealed a few details about the specs of the handset.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 has been certified by Wi-Fi Alliance under the model number SM-A515F/DSM. The certification has revealed that the phone will come with dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity. In addition, the listing in the database of the regulatory agency has suggested that the smartphone will boot Android 10 out of the box. No other details about the device have been revealed by Wi-Fi Alliance at the moment.
Talking about the design, our exclusive 5K renders recently revealed that the Galaxy A51 will have a nearly bezel-less display with a punch-hole at top-centre to house the selfie camera. At the rear, the device will have a rectangular camera module on the top-left corner, which will have four lenses and an LED flash unit. The back panel is expected to be made of glass and will be curved towards all the edges. The handset is rumoured to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The rumour mill suggests that the Samsung Galaxy A51 will have a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display, and will be powered by an Exynos 9611 processor that will be aided by 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. The phone is said to have a 48MP primary camera on the back, which will be accompanied by a 12MP wide-angle lens, a 12MP telephoto shooter with 2x optical zoom, and a 5MP camera for depth-sensing functionality. Lastly, there are rumours that the handset will be fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery.
Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy A51 in early 2020. The phone will reportedly be priced around Rs 20,000 in India.
