The Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 smartphones have launched in India. The A52 and A72 are the first Samsung A-series phones to arrive with a high refresh rate display. These handsets have arrived as successors to the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 smartphones from last year.

The Galaxy A52 and A72 phones are powered by a Snapdragon 7-series chipset. These handsets are backed by big batteries that support fast charging technology. Both phones are equipped with OIS-enabled 64-megapixel quad cameras. Today, the South Korean tech giant also announced the Galaxy A52 5G for global markets, but this variant has not been launched in India.

As an introductory offer, Samsung is offering up to Rs 3,000 cashback on HDFC Bank credit cards, debit cards and EMI transactions for Galaxy A72 and up to Rs 2,000 cashback on Galaxy A52. Zest Money users will get a cashback of Rs 2,000 and Rs 1,500 on the Galaxy A72 and Galaxy A52, respectively. Lastly, customers will be able to avail No Cost EMI from major banks and NBFC partners.

The Samsung Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 are equipped with a 6.5-inch and a 6.7-inch S-AMOLED Infinity-O display, respectively. Both phones support Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 90Hz refresh rate. The A52 and A72 run One UI 3.0 based on Android 11.
The Snapdragon 720G chipset is present under the hood of the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 smartphones. These phones offer up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of native storage. For additional storage, both phones feature a dedicated microSD card slot. The Galaxy A52 has a 4,500mAh battery, while the Galaxy A72 gets a 5.000mAh battery. Both models carry support for 25W fast charging.
The Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 are fitted with a 32MP front-facing camera. The Galaxy A52’s rear camera array has a 64-megapixel primary camera with OIS, autofocus, and f/1.8 aperture, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro lens.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A72 has an OIS-assisted 64-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture and autofocus, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with autofocus, OIS, and 3x optical zoom support, and a 5-megapixel macro camera.
The Galaxy A52 and A72 are equipped with common features like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C, Dolby Atmos support, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. Both phones feature an IP67 rating.
As for the Galaxy A52 5G, it features a Snapdragon 5G chipset and supports for 120Hz refresh rate. Apart from that, it offers the same specs as the 4G version.
