Samsung Galaxy A53 launch date seems to be fast approaching. Rumours are rife that it may debut along with other A-series phones such as Galaxy A73 and Galaxy A33 after the Galaxy S22 launch event, which is scheduled to take place on February 9th, 2022. The new A-series smartphones are likely to debut either by the end of this month or in March.

Now, German publication Winfuture.de has leaked the official renders and specifications of the Galaxy A53. The report reveals that the A53 will arrive with subtle improvements over the predecessor Galaxy A52 series from last year.

The Galaxy A53 5G will come with a polycarbonate-bodied chassis with a punch-hole display on the front. Its rear design is almost identical to the A52. However, the camera island of the A53 offers slight improvements over its predecessor. The device measures 8.1mm in thickness and weighs 189 grams. The A52 and A52s were made available in other colours like violet, blue, purple, and mint. While the A53 can be seen in white and black colours in the leaked renders, the South Korean company may announce colour variants at the launch.

The Galaxy A53 will be arriving with a 6.5-inch S-AMOLED panel that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. For security, the device will be equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
The Galaxy A53 will be driven by the upcoming Exynos 1200 chipset, which clocks at 2.4GHz. The SoC reportedly includes an AMD GPU. The processor will be accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. For additional storage, it will come with a dedicated microSD card slot.
The A53 will house a 5,000mAh battery that carries support for 25W fast charging. The handset will be equipped with a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. Its rear camera setup will include a 64-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. The device will offer connectivity features such as dual SIM, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC. At present, there is no word on the pricing of the device.
