Samsung has launched two new smartphones in the Chinese market. The Galaxy A60 and Galaxy A40s are the new additions to ‘Galaxy A’ series of smartphones. The latter is almost identical to the Galaxy M30, which means that the M-series might not launch in China. The Galaxy A60, on the other hand, has a punch-hole display, triple rear cameras and Snapdragon 675 SoC.
Samsung Galaxy A60: specifications, features and price
The Samsung Galaxy A60 has a 6.3-inch LCD Infinity-O display with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,440 pixels. The punch-hole display of the phone houses its selfie camera. Due to this reason, it doesn’t require a notch and the screen-to-body ratio is increased to 92 percent. The device is equipped with ScreenCast sound technology which lets the display act as a speaker.
The phone relies upon the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor with a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Galaxy A60 carries a 32MP selfie camera and a triple camera setup on the back. The configuration includes 32MP + 8MP + 5MP sensors where the main sensor has f/1.7 aperture, the ultra-wide lens has f/2.2 aperture and the third is a depth sensor. The setup includes an LED Flash and a fingerprint sensor rests alongside. The battery capacity of the phone is 3,500mAh and it comes with support for USB Type-C.
The Galaxy A60 has been priced at CNY 1,999 which converts to Rs 21,000, approximately. There is no information about the phone’s availability yet.
Samsung Galaxy A40s: specifications, features and price
The Galaxy A40s features a 6.4-inch AMOLED Infinity-U display with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,440 pixels. It carries a waterdrop notch on the top which houses a 16MP selfie camera. The phone relies on the Exynos 7904 octa-core processor and comes with 6GB of RAM + 64GB of ROM. It has a fingerprint sensor on the back and carries a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.
The camera configuration on the back includes a 13MP main sensor with an f/1.9 aperture along with a 5MP ultrawide lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor. The phone relies on a 5,000mAh battery and supports 15W Fast Charging as well. It has been launched at a price of CNY 1,499 or $225. It costs Rs 14,990 in India.
