Samsung has finally launched its first 64MP camera-toting smartphone called the Galaxy A70s. Notably, the company has released the handset in India first before anywhere else in the world. While the company hasn’t officially confirmed it, the Galaxy A70s is expected to utilise the brand’s ISOCELL Bright GW1 64MP sensor. The Redmi Note 8 Pro as well as the Realme XT also feature the same image sensor.

Talking about the specs, the Samsung Galaxy A70s comes with a 6.7-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with the Infinity-U notch above the screen. Powering the handset is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor. The smartphone comes in two RAM and storage variants – 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB, which both also support microSD cards up to 512GB in size. Notably, the Galaxy A70s flaunts an attractive design with a prism-like pattern on the back panel.
Talking about the cameras, the Samsung Galaxy A70s sports a triple camera setup at the rear. The 64MP primary camera features an aperture of f/1.8, and it is accompanied by a 5MP Live Focus snapper and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The smartphone sports features like Night Mode for low-light photography and Super Steady for smooth video recording. For selfies and video calling, the handset sports a 32MP fixed-focus camera with an aperture of f/2.0.
As for the other specs, the Samsung Galaxy A70s boots Android 9 Pie with the company’s One UI on top. For security, the smartphone is fitted with a fingerprint sensor, which is placed under the screen of the handset. Connectivity-wise, the handset has 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-C port, and A-GPS with GLONASS. Lastly, a beefy 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast charging support complete the list of the specifications.
Samsung Galaxy A70s price in India
The Samsung Galaxy A70s’ 6GB RAM variant has been priced at Rs 28,999, while the 8GB RAM model is being offered for Rs 28,999. The smartphone will be available in the country starting from tomorrow via offline channels, Samsung Opera House, Samsung e-shop, and through leading e-commerce portals. The handset will be up for grabs in three colour models – Prism Crush Red, Prism Crush Black, and Prism Crush White. For the launch offers, the company has partnered with various telcos to offer their users either double data or cashbacks on certain recharge packs.
