Samsung introduced the Galaxy A71 smartphone in Vietnam in December, and launched the handset in India earlier today. The phone only has a single variant with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor and 4G LTE connectivity. Now, the South Korean tech conglomerate is planning to introduce yet another model of the Galaxy A71 with support for 5G networks. While the brand hasn’t officially confirmed anything, the purported Galaxy A71 5G has surfaced in the database of the benchmarking app Geekbench. The listing on the app’s website has revealed a few details regarding the specifications of the device.

The Samsung Galaxy A71 5G has been benchmarked by Geekbench with the model number SM-A7160. The phone has been spotted with the brand’s in-house Exynos 980 processor, which has a clock speed of 1.79GHz. The chipset is paired with 8GB of RAM. The device has been benchmarked running Android 10. The phone has managed to achieve a single-core score of 3,078 and a multi-core score of 7,346. No other details about the alleged Galaxy A71 5G have been revealed by Geekbench. As of now, there’s no word when Samsung is planning to launch the 5G A series smartphone.
Talking about the Galaxy A71 4G LTE variant, the phone is a mid-range offering with a nearly bezel-less design and a quad primary camera module on the back. The handset has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Snapdragon 730 processor under the hood is mated to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. At the rear, the device has a 64MP main shooter, which is paired with three other sensors including a 12MP snapper and two 5MP snappers. A 32MP selfie snapper and a beefy 6,000mAh fast-charging battery are other highlights of the phone.
The Galaxy A71 has been priced at Rs 29,999. The phone comes in Prism Crush Silver, Blue, and Black colour variants and will be available across channels from February 24th.
