Samsung is reportedly working on the Galaxy A72 5G. It is expected to arrive as the successor to the Galaxy A71 5G that debuted earlier this year. Popular tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer also known as @OnLeaks on Twitter has shared the CAD renders of the Galaxy A72 5G.

The CAD renders show that the front and rear design of the Galaxy A72 5G is not hugely different from the Galaxy A71 5G phone. Hence, it appears that the phone may come with improved internals as compared to the Galaxy A71 5G. Rumours are rife the Galaxy A72 5G will be launching in early 2021.

The Galaxy A72 5G renders show that its display features a top-centered selfie camera cutout. The leak reveals that the phone measures 165 x 77.4 x 8.1mm and it features a 6.5-inch display.

The rear side of the phone is speculated to feature a glossy plastic finish. The rectangular camera module has four cameras and an LED flash. A new leak by Galaxy Club has revealed that it has a 64-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. It is speculated to arrive as the first A-series phone with support for Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). The handset is fitted with volume rockers, a power key, a USB Type-C port, a loudspeaker, and a 3.5mm audio jack along its edges.

The rumour mill is yet to leak the specifications of the Galaxy A72 5G. The Galaxy A71 5G was equipped with the Exynos 980 cipset. Samsung recently announced the Exynos 1080 chipset as the successor to the Exynos 980. Hence, it is likely that the Galaxy A72 5G could be featuring the Exynos 1080 SoC. It is also expected to come preloaded with Android 11. It is likely to debut with a price tag of around $599 (~Rs 44,000).

In related news, the Galaxy A52 5G and Galaxy A32 5G are the other A-series Samsung phones that are expected to go official soon. The Galaxy A32 5G is expected to arrive with specs such as a 6.5-inch waterdrop notch display, 48-megapixel ripple cameras, Android 11, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, and 15W charging.

The Galaxy A52 5G is expected to arrive with specs like a 6.5-inch display, an in-screen fingerprint reader, 64-megapixel quad rear cameras, Snapdragon 750G chipset, and Android 11. It is speculated that Samsung may release a 4G version of the Galaxy A52 powered by the Snapdragon 720G chipset.
