Samsung has silently dropped the price of the Galaxy A80 smartphone in the Indian market. The handset has received a permanent price drop of Rs 8,000 in the country. The phone was originally launched for Rs 47,990, but is now available for just Rs 39,990. The Galaxy A80 is up for grabs at the reduced pricing from major brick-and-mortar stores across the country, Amazon India, and Flipkart e-commerce portals. For the uninitiated, the Samsung Galaxy A80 is the world’s first smartphone to flaunt a 48MP triple rotating camera module, which can be used as both the primary and selfie camera module.

The Samsung Galaxy A80’s camera module slides up from the rear and rotates to let you click selfies and make video calls. The smartphone has three cameras including a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 3D ToF depth shooter. The handset is capable of 4K UHD video recording, and comes with Super Steady Mode, Night Mode, among others.

As for the other specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A80 has a 6.7-inch full HD+ Infinity Super AMOLED display. Thanks to the rotating camera module, the brand has managed to achieve a truly bezel-less design on the Galaxy A80. Under the hood, the Galaxy A80 features Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 730G processor, and comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. Software-wise, the handset boots Android 9 Pie with the brand’s One UI out of the box.

In terms of connectivity, the Samsung Galaxy A80 offers 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and A-GPS with GLONASS. The smartphone is equipped with a beefy 3,700mAh battery that supports 25W Super Fast charging. Lastly, the device is available is being offered in three colour variants – Ghost White, Phantom Black, and Angel Gold.
