[Update: Now on NRRA] Samsung Galaxy A90 5G Passes Bluetooth Certification

Update [12/08/2019 @ 3:00 PM]: Now on Korea’s National Radio Research Agency

As described earlier, we spotted two variants of the Galaxy A90 5G and the Korea specific model which is SM-A908N has now appeared on Korea’s National Radio Research Agency. It doesn’t reveal much in way of specifications but it’s a hint that Samsung could be readying for a launch of the premium flagship-grade handset on its home soil.

Earlier this month, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A90 5G had been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance. The smartphone has now been certified by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), hinting at an imminent launch.

Two Galaxy A90 5G Variants Certified by Bluetooth SIG

The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) has certified two upcoming Galaxy A90 5G variants: SM-A908N and SM-A908B. SM-A908B happens to be the same variant that had appeared on the Wi-Fi Alliance website recently.

Sadly, there is very little that the Bluetooth certification tells us about the upcoming smartphone. The listings only confirm that the Galaxy A90 5G will have Bluetooth 5.0 support. Going by previous leaks, the smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor, just like the US variants of Samsung’s flagship smartphones. The upcoming 5G smartphone will also be quite impressive in the battery life department, thanks to a 4400mAh capacity battery. Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S10 5G also packs an identical 4400mAh battery.

In the camera department, the Galaxy A90 5G is rumored to feature a triple-camera setup featuring a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor, and a 5MP tertiary sensor. Some rumors even suggest the Galaxy A90 will have a similar sliding and rotating camera system as the Galaxy A80. The smartphone is also expected to have an identical 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display as the Galaxy A80, with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Thanks to a flagship Snapdragon 855 processor and 5G connectivity, the Galaxy A90 5G will not be an affordable device. That said, it should still be more affordable than the company’s flagship 5G smartphones such as the Galaxy S10 5G and the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G.
