The Samsung Galaxy Book Pro, Galaxy Book Pro360, Galaxy Book Odyssey, and Galaxy Book notebooks have launched today. Launched at different price points, these laptops are designed to meet the requirements of a basic user to a high-end user.

The Galaxy Book Pro is a powerful laptop, whereas the Galaxy Book Pro 360 is a 2-in-1 convertible with a touch screen and a stylus support. The Galaxy Book Odyssey is a performance-driven laptop with a massive battery and high-end graphics. The Galaxy Book is a budget-friendly notebook. All four devices are powered by Intel’s 11th generation processors and they come loaded with Windows 10.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Pro comes in 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch AMOLED display choices

The Galaxy Book Pro comes in 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch FHD AMOLED screen variants. It is powered by up to Core i7 11th generation Intel processors and 8GB / 16GB / 32GB of LPDDR4x RAM. It comes with Xe graphics, upgradeable to GeForce MX450. The Galaxy Book Pro provides up to 1TB of NVMe storage.

The 15.6-inch variant comes with ports like Thunderbolt 4, HDMI, USB Type-C, a USB-A 3.2, 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack, and a microSD card slot. The smaller Galaxy Book Pro model lacks an HDMI port, but it features a nano-SIM slot since it supports 4G LTE. For connectivity, the 15.6-inch edition comes with Wi-Fi 6E. The 13.3-inch is backed by a 63Wh battery, while the larger model features a 68Wh battery. Both laptops come with a 65W charger, HD webcam, AKG-tuned speakers with Dolby Atmos support and a fingerprint reader.

The Galaxy Book Pro 360 is a 2-in-1 convertible that comes in 13.3-inch and 15.5-inch FHD S-AMOLED touchscreen display options. The retail package of the device includes an S Pen stylus. The smaller model supports 5G connectivity through a nano-SIM slot, whereas the larger model supports only Wi-Fi 6E. The Galaxy Book Pro 360 comes in 11th generation Core i3, i5, and i7 CPU options. The 13.3-inch model comes in 8GB / 16GB RAM options, whereas the larger model has 32GB of RAM.

The Galaxy Book Pro 360 offers Iris Xe graphics and up to 1TB of NVMe storage. The smaller model has a 63Wh battery, while the larger unit has a 65Wh battery. These notebooks support 65W charging over USB Type-C. Both models offer other features like a Thunderbolt 4, a pair of USB Type-C ports, a microSD card slot, AKG-tuned speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo port, an HD webcam, and a fingerprint scanner. In addition, the Galaxy Book Pro 360 has a MIL-STD-810G rated durable chassis that can withstand low/high pressure, humidity, dust, salt spray, and more.

The Galaxy Book Odyssey has a 15.6-inch TFT LCD FHD screen. It comes in 11th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 CPU versions that offer 8GB / 16GB / 32GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 1TB of NVMe SSD storage. This device comes with additional slots for adding extra RAM and storage. The South Korean company offers the Galaxy Book Odyssey in GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Max-Q and 3050 Max-Q GPU choices.

The Odyssey laptop has a massive 83Wh battery, which supports 135W charging through USB Type-C. Other features of this laptop include a pair of USB Type-C ports, three USB-A 3.2 ports, an HDMI slot, a security slot, an RJ45 port for LAN, Wi-Fi 6E, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack.

The Galaxy Book is the most modest model among the newly announced Samsung laptops. It has a 15.6-inch TF LCD FHD display and a 54Wh battery that can be charged at 65W through USB Type-C. It comes in multiple CPU versions such as Intel Celeron, Pentium Gold, and 11th generation Core i3 / i5 / i7. Users can either use Intel HD or GeForce MX450 graphics.

It comes in 4GB / 8GB / 16GB RAM options and offers 512GB of NVMe SSD storage, which can be upgraded. It is packed with other features like 4G LTE support through a nano-SIM slot, Wi-Fi 6E, a pair of USB Type-C ports, a pair of USB-A 3.2 ports, an HDMI port, Dolby Atmos support, a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo port, a microSD card slot, an HD camera, and a fingerprint scanner.

Pricing and availability

The 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch Galaxy Book Pro starts at $999 (~Rs 74,400) and 1,099 (~Rs 81,900), respectively. The 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch Galaxy Book Pro 360 variants begin at $1,199 (~Rs 89,300) and $1,299 (~Rs 96,800) respectively. While the Galaxy Book Odyssey begins at $1,399 (~Rs 1,04,200), the Galaxy Book has a low starting price of $549 (~Rs 40,900). There is no word on if Samsung will bring these laptops to India.
