Samsung Galaxy Buddy has been spotted on benchmarking website Geekbench with model number SM-A226L. The listing reveals some key specifications about the device.
The Samsung Galaxy Buddy with the same model number had appeared on the Bluetooth SIG certification website in June this year. It is expected to be a rebadged variant of the Galaxy A22 5G and specific to the South Korean region. Samsung already offers the Galaxy A32 5G as the Galaxy Jump in the country.
Samsung Galaxy Buddy listed on Geekbench
The Samsung Galaxy Buddy’s Geekbench listing reveals that the device will be powered by an ARM MT6833V processor clocked at 2.0GHz. It corresponds to the Dimensity 700 chipset. The listing also confirms 4GB RAM and Android 11.
As per the Geekbench listing, the Samsung Galaxy Buddy scores 562 points in single-core tests and 1,673 in multi-core tests. Apart from this, the benchmarking site doesn’t reveal any additional information on the smartphone.
As per past reports, the Galaxy Buddy is tipped to come in different colour variants compared to the regular Galaxy A22 5G. If the upcoming offering is indeed a rebadged Galaxy A22 5G, then we can expect to pack the same specifications.
The Galaxy A22 5G is already available in India and features a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. There is a triple rear camera setup consisting of 48MP, 5MP, and 2MP sensors whereas on the front, the device features an 8MP selfie snapper. The smartphone packs up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage expandable via a microSD card slot. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 15W fast charging.
