Samsung Galaxy Buds+ price in India set at Rs 13,990, available to pre-order at a discount

Last week, Samsung introduced its latest Galaxy S series smartphones called the Galaxy S20Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra, apart from the Galaxy Z Flip foldable handset. Alongside the new phones, the South Korean tech giant also unveiled its newest audio accessory dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Buds+. At the launch, the company didn’t reveal the pricing of the new earbuds for India. However, now the brand has started taking pre-orders for the wearable in the country. The device is priced at Rs 13,990, but is being offered at a discounted price tag of Rs 11,990 during the pre-order period.

Notably, in India, the Galaxy Buds+ are priced at significantly higher than their price in the US, which is $149 (~Rs 10,600). The accessory is being offered in three colour variants, including Blue, Black, and White. Those who pre-order the Galaxy S20 can avail the Galaxy Buds+ at a discounted price of Rs 2,999, while the Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra buyers will get the accessory for just Rs 1,999.

Samsung Galaxy Buds+ specifications and features

To recall the specs, the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ feature AKG-tuned two-way speakers and three microphones on each earbud. The wearable’s predecessor, the Galaxy Buds have only two microphones on the earbuds. The inclusion of additional microphones will allow the device to provide better quality while making voice calls. The accessory has a dual-driver audio setup and is IPX2 rated for splash and sweat resistance. Thanks to the Bluetooth 5 connectivity, the wearable can be paired with multiple devices.

As for the other specs, the Galaxy Buds+ have touchpads on both the earbuds. You can use them to play, pause, and skip songs, apart from controlling the volume. You can also use the same to control audio playback on the Spotify app. Each of the earbuds has an 85mAh battery, which is said to provide 11 hours of usage on a single charge. The wireless charging case of the Galaxy Buds+ has a 270mAh battery. Lastly, with the battery from the charging case combined, the accessory is capable of providing up to 22 hours of usage on a single charge.
