Samsung is expected to unveil its flagship Galaxy S11 smartphone in February at a special UNPACKED event. Alongside the S11, the brand is also expected to announce the Galaxy Fold 2 and Galaxy Buds 2. Recently, the Galaxy Buds+ were leaked via the Samsung SmartThings app. Now 91mobiles has shared the renders of the Galaxy Buds+ revealing its design. The Buds+ will arrive as the successor to the original Galaxy Buds launched last year. The upcoming true wireless earphones look identical to its predecessor. The only difference is that the Buds+ will come in a Sky Blue colour option along with White and Black.
Galaxy Buds+ renders
Based on the renders, the Galaxy Buds+ look quite similar to the original Galaxy Buds. The buds will come with small silicone ear-tips that will offer a good seal. There is a glossy triangular surface area that is touch-sensitive for controlling music playback, activating voice assistants and answering calls. The case of the Galaxy Buds+ also looks similar as its predecessor. It has a pill-shaped design and is also expected to come with wireless charging and a USB-C port. From the renders, one can notice the L and R markings below the LED indicator. The main reason for this could be to display the charging status of each earbud. To recall, on the original Galaxy Buds the only way to check the individual battery level was through the Galaxy Wearable app on a connected smartphone.
There is no additional information on the features of the Galaxy Buds+. The upcoming true wireless earphones are expected to come with an enhanced sound quality. Past rumours suggest that the Galaxy Buds+ may feature active noise cancellation to compete with Apple AirPods Pro. They are expected to arrive with a higher price tag than the previous generation Galaxy Buds. We expect more details to surface online leading up to the launch event.
