The Samsung Galaxy F52 5G handset has gone official in China. It has arrived as the first F-series phone from the company for the Chinese market. Samsung holds a negligible market share in China because of which it has been launching only premium flagships in the country for the past few years. Earlier this month, it launched the Galaxy A52 5G and now it has launched F52 5G, which indicates that it could be planning to gain back lost ground in the country.
The Galaxy F52 5G is a mid-range phone that offers a 120Hz refresh rate display. A 5G-ready Snapdragon 7-series chipset fuels the smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy F52 5G specifications and features
The Galaxy F52 5G has a 6.6-inch TFT display that delivers Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The punch-hole placed at the top-right corner of the screen features a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
The camera island found on the rear shell of the phone features a 64-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth helper. The handset runs One UI 3.1 based on Android 11.
The Snapdragon 750G is present under the hood of the device. It is assisted by 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. For additional storage, it features a microSD card slot.
The Galaxy F52 5G houses a 4,500mAh battery, which supports 15W fast charging. Other features include dual-SIM slots, 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Samsung Galaxy F52 5G pricing and availability
The Samsung Galaxy F52 5G is up for pre-orders in China at a price of RMB 1,999 (~Rs 22,700) in China. The handset can be bought in colours like Dusk Black and Magic White. Samsung is known for selling F-series phones exclusively through Flipkart in India. Hence, it remains to be seen whether the company has any plans to launch the F52 5G in India.
