Samsung Galaxy F62 reportedly in works; Exynos 9825 SoC and Android 11 revealed

Samsung is reportedly working on a new smartphone in the Galaxy F-series called Galaxy F62. The smartphone is expected to join the Galaxy F41, which was unveiled in October as its first F-series phone. It was revealed in October that the company could be working on the alleged Galaxy F12 smartphone. While there is no new information available on the F12, a new leak has revealed the existence of the Galaxy F62 smartphone. The handset has also stopped by the Geekbench benchmarking platform.

The Galaxy F41 arrived with specs like the Galaxy M31 phone. It was revealed last month that Samsung is working on the Galaxy M62 phone with specs like 6GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a 7,000mAh battery. It remains to be seen whether the upcoming Galaxy F62 will have any resemblance with the M62 handset.

Citing information received from tipster Ishan Agarwal, 91mobiles reported that India will soon get the all-new Galaxy F62 phone in India. The tipster revealed that the model number of the device is SM-E625F but did not share any information on its specs. There is no confirmation on the launch timeline yet.

Ironically, the Galaxy F62 already appeared on Geekbench 5 earlier this week. The device is powered by the Exynos 9825 chipset that has a base frequency of 1.95GHz. The same SoC was used last year to power the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ flagship phones.

The Geekbench listing has further revealed that the handset has 6GB of RAM and it is preinstalled with the latest Android 11 OS. The smartphone recorded 763 in the single-core test and 1952 in the multi-core test of Geekbench. The rest of the specs of the Galaxy F62 is currently under wraps.

As far as the Galaxy F12 is concerned, its recently spotted live images revealed that it has a textured rear shell and a quad-camera setup. The phone is also expected to feature a side-facing fingerprint reader. It is speculated to be equipped with a 6.7-inch display and a behemoth 7,000mAh battery. A variant of the same phone is expected to debut as the Galaxy M12. It is yet to be ascertained whether the Galaxy F12 will debut before the end of 2020.
