Samsung India seems to have launched the Galaxy J2 Ace in India. A listing spotted on an e-commerce site shows the J2 Ace on sale for Rs 8490. The smartphone maker is aggressively expanding its J series in India and the J2 Ace (G532G) seems to be the latest addition. The manufacturer had also recently launched the Samsung Galaxy J1 (4G) in India.
The Galaxy J2 Ace sports a 5-inch display with qHD resolution (540 x 960). It is not known if the display is an LCD panel or an AMOLED. We think it is most likely the latter since the J1 (4G) and the J2 Pro (Review) have an AMOLED panel.
The Ace listing reveals a 1.4GHz Quad Core processor with 1.5GB of RAM. The phone has an 8-megapixel camera with a LED flash at the back. On the front, the phone has a 5-megapixel camera along with a selfie flash. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top.
The J2 Ace gets 8GB of internal storage with less than 6GB of storage available for the user. The phone has expandable storage up to 256GB. It is a Dual SIM device and has a hybrid SIM slot. So users will have to choose between the second SIM slot and the MicroSD card slot.
The phone has a 2600mAh battery and is user-replaceable. For connectivity, the J2 Ace has a microUSB port along with Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. The phone supports 4G VoLTE and will work on the Reliance Jio Network. The Samsung Galaxy J2 Ace will be available in Gold and Black colour options.
