Samsung unveils a new Galaxy J3 running Android Nougat

Samsung has officially the taken wraps off the whole new affordable Galaxy J3 in the US. The device is retailing via AT&T at $179.99 outright, which converts at approximately Rs 11,560. It is also up for grabs on contract for $6 per month. Specs-wise, the 2017 edition of the Galaxy J3 sports a 5-inch 720p display with the pixel density of 294 pixels per inch.

The phone is powered by the company’s own Exynos 7570 quad-core processor under the hood ticking at 1.4 GHz. It embraces 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage, which is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card slot.

The highlight, the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) runs Android Nougat software out of the box, which is interesting. The device houses a 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel selfie camera. It packs a user-replaceable 2,660mAh battery.

In other news, Samsung today expanded its Z-lineup in India and announced the Z4, which runs the company’s Tizen operating system. The Samsung Z4 is priced at Rs 5,790 and will be sold in Black and Gold colours. It will go on sale in India across offline channels starting May 19th.

The Samsung Z4 boasts of a 4.5-inch WVGA display, a quad-core SoC, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable storage, 5-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, 4G VoLTE, and a 2,050mAh battery.
